Job Summary
Boiler Operator needed to oversee Energy Center operations with a 12-hour rotating shift. Responsibilities include monitoring plant processes using DCS & PLC, taking daily logs for boilers, dryers, water treatment, and auxiliary equipment, adhering to SOPs, contributing to updating operating procedures and training manuals, participating in QA and plant maintenance programs, assisting with grain handling and receiving, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Requires Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license (or higher) and a two-year college/technical/vocational background or 3+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS, strong communication and time-management skills, and ability to work with maintenance and QA teams are essential. The role involves field monitoring, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and participation in safety, health, and environmental programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a State of Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or a higher equivalent
- Must have: Food, ethanol or liquid processing experience
- Proficient in basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with computerized maintenance management systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Minimum degree from a two-year college or a Technical/Vocational school, military background, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
