Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and shut down four boilers while managing soft water systems, evaporator condensate recovery, compressed air, and natural gas supply. Perform maintenance, welding, torch cutting, and hydraulics on critical equipment, ensuring accurate documentation of pressures, temperatures, and output. Adjust chemical feed rates for water chemistry and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime. Requires three years' experience in industrial evaporation and food processing environments, including pipe fitting and cooling tower maintenance. Works extended hours, weekends, and shifts during the fresh pack season from July to early November.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of three years' experience in the process of supplying heat and/or power by means of an automatic boiler system in an Industrial Evaporation and Food Processing environment and pipe fitting
- Welding with either (STICK), (TIG) and/or (MIG) welders
- Pipe fitting (all size pipe)
- Cooling Tower maintenance experience
- Background maintaining chemistry balance
- Knowledge in gas handling
- Knowledge in air compressors
- Knowledge in water treatment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to work extended hours
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July – early November
