Boiler / Dry Kiln Helper

Entry-level Boiler/Dry Kiln Helper needed in Holland, NY for hardwood lumber manufacturing. Assist boiler/kiln operators with operating and tending the boiler to dry lumber, provide plant security, and perform fire watch. Learn and grow toward becoming an experienced Boiler/Kiln Operator. Responsibilities include performing hourly rounds, cleaning boiler area, reporting potential hazards, assisting operator as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays; follow instructions; work as part of a team; complete daily reports; and apply basic math and machine knowledge. Emphasis on safety: follow area regulations, wear PPE, follow lockout procedures, proper lifting, and maintaining safe conditions.
