Job Summary
Conduct ergonomic risk evaluations, analyze industrial hygiene data, and ensure regulatory compliance within Boeing's manufacturing and office environments. Work alongside experienced EHS team members and engineering to implement new tooling, technology, and processes that reduce ergonomic stressors and workplace exposures. Tour state-of-the-art facilities to experience products up close, interact with company leaders on strategy, and collaborate across multiple environmental disciplines on sustainability initiatives and spill prevention. This 10-12-week paid summer internship runs May or June for enrolled students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, requiring onsite attendance at one of Boeing's locations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks (12 weeks preferred) during the summer
- Currently an enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027
- US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Employer not willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- 100% onsite work requirement
- Ability to relocate and work onsite
Desired Qualifications
- Majoring in: Human Factors, Ergonomics, Safety, Sustainability, Biology, Chemistry, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related
- Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above)
- Previous internships or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
- Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career with Boeing
- The ability to telecommute
- Computing skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel)
