Job Summary
Teach BodyPump group fitness classes in a YMCA environment, motivating and engaging members while delivering safe, enjoyable, and educational sessions. Instructs group classes in accordance with YMCA policies, maintains attendance records, stays current on wellness trends, answers member questions to support goals, builds genuine relationships with members, and responds to emergencies as needed. Requires CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days, and national certification in group fitness instruction; at least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred. Flexible, member-centered role with opportunities for training and growth.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in areas of expertise
- National certification (e.g. ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction
- CPR, First Aid, AED required within 30 days of hire
- New Employee Orientation required within first week of hire
