Job Summary
Body Shop / Collision Repair Apprentice performs light body work under close supervision and participates in the first stage of training toward Bodyman status. Responsibilities include assisting bodymen in heavy-duty truck body repair, attending training sessions to gain knowledge and experience, maintaining a neat and orderly workspace, properly handling company tools, and performing other duties as assigned by supervision. Safety-sensitive role with emphasis on learning and applying repair techniques; CDL preferred and strong communication and teamwork skills are required. On-the-job training and opportunities for internal promotion are noted in the description.
Required Qualifications
- CDL preferred
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to listen and work closely with others in order to learn how to make repairs properly
- Must have a positive can do attitude
- Must have necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities
