Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance, welding, sanding, and painting on heavy trucks and machinery to restore vehicles. Perform thorough inspections to identify damage and necessary repairs, then communicate repair options and timelines to clients. Maintain a clean workspace and ensure all tools and equipment remain in good working order while lifting heavy parts and standing for long periods. This role requires a certified mechanic with at least six years of experience in body repair and truck machinery, emphasizing quality workmanship and independent problem-solving within a Bermudian construction and excavation firm.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanic certification in vehicle body repair or a equipment mechanic certification
- Minimum 6 years' experience in body repair
- Minimum 6 years experience in truck and machinery repairs
- Proficiency in using auto body repair tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of equipment hydraulic and drive
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Zero tolerance for drug and alcohol abuse
