Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for the meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to pre-accident condition, including disassembly/reassembly, dent repair, frame realignment, glass and interior part replacement, welding, painting, and ensuring work meets labor-time guidelines and KPIs; requires a high school diploma or equivalent and formal technical training or apprenticeship, and involves working in a noisy shop environment with lifting and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
