Job Summary
Assess and repair customer vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition by disassembling, realigning frames, replacing damaged sections, welding parts, and applying factory-specified paint. Execute the WOW Operating Way plan by planning repairs, preparing cost estimates, and using tools like cutting guns and hydraulic jacks to fix dents, dimples, and structural damage. Inspect completed work to ensure quality before handing vehicles back. Work within labor time guidelines to meet repair facility KPIs while serving as a dedicated Brand Ambassador. Requires high school diploma, technical school completion, or apprenticeship; ability to work safely in noisy areas with odors and lift up to 30 pounds. Located in Carrollton-Old Denton Rd with a flat rate of $26-$30 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Ability to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
