Body Shop Technician - Collision & Glass

Job Summary
Perform structural and cosmetic collision repairs on a variety of vehicles by removing, repairing, and replacing damaged body panels. Straighten frames and unibody structures using specialized equipment, then weld, sand, fit, and prepare vehicles for the paint process. Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications, diagnose additional damage, and work closely with estimators and parts departments to maintain schedule. Reassemble vehicles, perform final quality inspections, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment using hand and power tools. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Collision Manager with Monday through Friday hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Automotive Body Repair Certification
- I-car structural welding Certification
- positive can-do attitude
- valid MB Driver's license
- satisfactory Driver's Abstract
- Experience repairing and replacing body panels
- Welding and metal repair skills
- Frame and structural repair experience
- Knowledge of vehicle measuring systems
- Ability to read repair estimates and manufacturer procedures
- Detail oriented
- ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work the physical requirements of a service technician role
- Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- High level of mobility, dexterity, endurance, and sensory awareness
- Ability to work in an automotive shop environment
