Job Summary
Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, repairing truck body damage, installing aftermarket parts, and documenting all tasks on the repair order. Inspect vehicles for hidden damage, communicate with the parts department, and save tagged parts under warranty. Maintain a clean shop, manage dealership-owned tools, and mentor less-skilled technicians. If a CDL is held, road test vehicles as required. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations including EPA, OSHA, and DOT standards. Attain industry certifications, participate in manufacturer-sponsored training, and stay current on technical bulletins. Report machinery defects, safety issues, and equipment malfunctions to management immediately. Work in a safe manner at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL (if road testing vehicles may be required)
- Attain industry certifications as required
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment
