BODY SHOP MANAGER

Job Summary
Lead daily body shop operations by managing workflow from estimating through delivery, monitoring work-in-process aging, and ensuring accurate insurance communication. Drive production and quality by coordinating with the parts department, managing direct repair program relationships, and resolving customer and vendor concerns promptly. Coach team members on productivity and accountability while maintaining high standards for safety and final inspections. Work in an active environment requiring extended standing and occasional lifting, reporting to the Fixed Operations Director with a base salary plus performance bonus tied to production and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of collision repair workflow, estimating, supplements, and insurance claim procedures
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team-development ability
- Ability to manage work in process, cycle time, deadlines, and multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of labor, parts, paint and materials, gross profit, and expense control
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Collision, body shop, or estimating leadership experience
- Experience with collision estimating platforms (CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex) and dealership management systems (Tekion)
- I-CAR (individual or Gold Class shop), ASE, and/or OEM collision certifications
