Job Summary
Inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage. Estimate the cost of labor and parts for repairs or replacements, photographing damage and uploading it to the estimating system. Generate accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software, communicate findings to customers and insurance companies, and schedule repairs while facilitating alternate transportation. Create supplementary estimates, follow through on insurance receivables, and maintain relationships with factory and insurance representatives. Assist technicians as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a valid Illinois driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Body Shop estimating experience
- Must be able to communicate to customers of various backgrounds
- Must be able to work independently, effectively managing time and workflow
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Must possess a valid IL driver's license with an acceptable driving record
