Job Summary
Assess and estimate repair costs for damaged vehicles by conducting thorough inspections to identify all necessary parts and labor. Prepare detailed, itemized quotes for clients and collaborate with insurance adjusters, customers, and repair technicians to obtain approvals. Utilize industry-standard software to document estimates and maintain records, while staying updated on manufacturer specifications and repair techniques. Assist with administrative tasks including billing information and supplier communication to ensure timely part delivery. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Proven experience as a Collision Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, parts, and labor costs
- Proficient in using computerized estimating systems and software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field
- Familiarity with insurance policies and procedures
- Certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
