Job Summary
Automotive Body Repair and Paint Technician sought to perform light to heavy auto body repairs on fleet vehicles, including fiberglass and metal surfaces. Responsibilities include repairing fiberglass fenders/hoods with two-part epoxy, pulling metal and filling with fiberglass, disassembling/reassembling semi-truck body parts, panel prep for primer/paint, auto body repairs to OEM standards, priming/taping trucks for paint, painting semi-trucks with single-stage or base/clear coats, and proper waste disposal per OSHA/EH&S. Requires minimum 3 years in automotive body repair and painting, experience with metals (including aluminum), ability to straighten sheet metal, welding and frame-machine experience, and the ability to lift 20–75 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive body repair and painting
- Experience with fiberglass and metal surfaces
- Ability to perform light to heavy repairs
- Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience repairing fiberglass fenders and hoods with two-part epoxy
- Pull metal and fill with fiberglass as needed
- Disassemble and reassemble semi-truck body parts
- Prep panels for primer and paint
- Perform auto body repairs to OEM standards
- Prime and tape trucks for paint application
- Paint semi-trucks using single-stage or base/clear coat
- Dispose of waste per OSHA/EH&S standards
- Previous experience as a Body Shop Repair person and automotive Painter or Paint Prepper
- Experience with metals including aluminum
- Ability to straighten sheet metal
- Previous welding experience
- Frame machine and welding experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects (20–75 lbs)
