Job Summary
Partner with Equipment Engineering Tool Owners to gather design information for new tool installs and walk tools onsite, assessing demolition and upgrade requirements. Interpret supplier design documentation to define site-specific configurations, validate point-of-use utility connections, and confirm proper sizing for regulators and flow/pressure parameters. Assist in creating Facilities Data Sheets by verifying line length distances and ensuring they meet specifications. Utilize 2D design tools to translate technical requirements into actionable site plans. This role requires 8+ years of semiconductor facility experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software. Based in Malta, NY, the position offers a full-time schedule with competitive pay ranging from $50.00 to $70.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in semiconductor facility or tool install engineering
- Strong design background with direct tool walkdown experience
- Ability to work with EE Tool Owners to define demo and upgrade scopes
- Proficiency in validating flow rates, pressure drops, and regulator sizing
- Experience reviewing and verifying POU utilities and line length specs before FDS creation
- Skilled in interpreting supplier documentation and translating it to site-specific requirements
- Proficient with 2D design tools used to generate Facilities Data Sheets (FDS)
- Must be able to walk up to 5+miles per day
- Must be able to be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time
- Must be able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces
- Must be able to work at heights, on a ladder
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing or fab environments
- Familiarity with semiconductor facility systems and tool hook-up processes
- Understanding of construction coordination and tool install timelines
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Facilities, EHS, Tool Install, etc.)
