Job Summary
WIM Program Manager under the Design-Build & Emergency Contracts Unit — oversees the expansion and enforcement of weight-in-motion (WIM) systems, develops rollout plans across sites, determines contract types, prepares procurement documents, monitors private consultants/contractors, negotiates changes and extra work orders, ensures compliance with DOT/agency guidelines, conducts field inspections, and performs significant administrative and engineering functions as directed by the Executive Director. Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and several years of administrative/managerial experience; strong communication, reporting, data analysis, and supervisory skills; familiarity with WIM systems and city/state/federal guidelines. Work location: 55 WATER ST, MANHATTAN, NY. Hours: 8:00AM–4:00PM. All resumes submitted electronically via NYC CityJobs.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or
- A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience as described in the first item; two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to the above; an accredited Master's degree in one of the disciplines described may substitute for one year of the required experience, with the caveat of meeting the two years of administrative/managerial/supervisory experience
