Boat Division Personal Property Custodian

Job Summary
Process requests and maintain records for issue, turn-in, gain, and loss of property assigned to the Boat Division. Manage accountability for capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables by conducting monthly, bi-annual, and annual inventories in SWALIS/DPAS systems. Investigate and process documentation for missing, lost, stolen, or damaged property while ensuring compliance with property accountability policies. Coordinate with command personnel to ensure proper asset tracking and reporting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and databases. This role supports Naval Special Warfare operational readiness within LOGSUPPU-2 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum three (3) years of inventory management experience within Naval Special Warfare (NSW)
- Managing capital assets, minor property, and operational consumables (OPCON)
- Familiarity with SWALIS or Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or similar inventory systems
- Experience processing property accountability documentation
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must accurately input and manage data across systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inventory inspections
- Ability to lift and move equipment associated with inventory operations
- Ability to work in warehouse, dockside, or outdoor maritime environments
- Ability to perform repetitive inventory and documentation tasks
- Ability to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
