Job Summary
Supervise boarding house operations including wake-ups, meals, evening study sessions, and roll calls while monitoring student welfare and room tidiness. Plan and lead cultural excursions and day trips across Cyprus, managing logistics, transport, and safeguarding procedures. Organize on-campus events such as food tastings and storytelling sessions to connect international students with local heritage. Collaborate with staff on duty rotes, handle administrative tasks via the Reach system, and report safeguarding concerns immediately. Work shift-based hours including evenings and weekends with two consecutive days off per week.
Required Qualifications
- Higher education degree preferred, ideally in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Education, or Youth Development
- Proven experience working with children in residential settings, boarding campuses, sports clubs, summer camps, or schools
- Deep, authentic knowledge of Cyprus' geography, history, and traditions, with a genuine passion for storytelling
- Strong understanding of risk assessments for trips
- First Aid qualification
- Fluency in English (the primary campus language)
- Native or professional proficiency in Greek
- Proficient in Google Workspace and basic IT systems
- Clean Driving Licence
- Ability to thrive in a shift-based environment
- Flexible and comfortable working evenings and weekends as required
- Work according to the duty rota on Sundays, including public holidays
- Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Encourage boarders to use English as the primary language during trips and events
- Participate in boarding staff training and house team meetings
- Assist with activity planning using the Reach system

- The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate background checks, including criminal record checks, reference verification and any other safer recruitment procedures required by the school and local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Education & Background: Higher education degree preferred, ideally in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Education, or Youth Development
- First Aid qualification is highly desirable (training will be provided)
- Genuine passion for running and supervising cultural events
- Proven experience supervising trips or excursions for children or young
- Other languages like Greek, Russian, Ukrainian or Hebrew
- Safeguarding & GDPR
- Bachelor's degree, English major preferred
