Board Operator - 14/14 Rotation

Board Operator for a 14/14 rotation at Marathon Petroleum’s Jal, NM facility responsible for safe and efficient operation of process, storage, loading, and unloading systems in a gas liquids/sour gas plant. Duties include constant monitoring of instrument control panels, adjusting controls to regulate pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and fluid levels to maintain product purity and operating efficiency; oversee equipment controlling temperature and product flow; monitor gauges, inspect product, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance; record data from readings; issue and monitor safe work permits; ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental permit requirements. Requires understanding of process controls/automation, instrumentation, safety awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively. Education and experience emphasize a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, drug/background checks, and flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends/holidays; prior board operator experience preferred.
