Job Summary
Board Member opportunity for Signature Health. The role focuses on governance and oversight of the health center, with responsibilities including defining organizational purpose, strategy development, financial oversight, quality, compliance, risk management, and CEO performance evaluation. The position requires residency within the local service areas of Cuyahoga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties and entails virtual attendance at monthly board meetings, with FBI background checks, ongoing checks for OIG/GSA/sanctions, adherence to an annual influenza vaccination policy, and other governance duties as outlined. The board operates with volunteer status and aims to ensure patient-centered care within the health center’s HRSA Health Center Program framework.
Required Qualifications
- Physician (doctor of medicine) for board qualification
- FBI background check prior to appointment
- ongoing OIG, GSA, Sanction, and exclusion list checks
- annual influenza vaccination policy compliance
- virtual attendance at monthly board meetings
- dexterity to operate a PC and office equipment
- ability to read materials in advance and be prepared for board meetings
- participation on at least one board committee
- ability to perform essential board functions
- drug-screen requirement after conditional offer (pre-employment)
- confidentiality and professional conduct expectations during board service
