Job Summary

Conduct emergency and surgical care for a diverse caseload as the only specialty center in Newfoundland and Labrador. Manage a 24-hour ICU, oversee chemotherapy, and lead a canine blood donor program alongside diagnostic imaging via in-house CT and MRI. Collaborate closely with surgical support staff, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner utilizing advanced arthroscopic, laparoscopic, and orthopedic equipment. This role requires Board Certification in Small Animal Surgery or board eligibility, along with licensure to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador. Required Qualifications

  • Board certification as a veterinary surgeon (SA) or board eligible
  • Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador

  • Outstanding communication skills, especially when dealing with clients
  • Ability and willingness to work closely and effectively with the entire VSCNL team
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must
