Job Summary
Provide direct clinical and administrative oversight for mid-level practitioners, physics, dosimetry, radiation therapists, and other clinical staff. Deliver services in an efficient, high-quality, cost-effective manner within budget allocation while ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing. Support operations issues resolution, implement policies and strategic plans, and contribute to local administrative, management, quality assurance, and committee assignments. Offer direct patient care as a consultant in outpatient clinics and/or inpatient wards, participate in the on-call schedule, and perform radiation treatment procedures during clinic hours. Maintain patient records, ensure accurate documentation and coding, and practice radiation safety to maintain occupational exposures "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Board certification
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified
- Copy of current DEA certificate registered in the state in which services are provided
- At least five (5) years of documented post-residency experience
- At least three (3) years of continuous work experience within the last five (5) years
- Valid BLS and or ACLS
