Job Summary

Conduct onsite interventional radiology services Monday through Friday, 08:00 – 16:30, with on-call coverage during evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours. Perform timely interpretation and communication of imaging results, including entry into digital medical records and verbal notification of critical findings. Provide consultation services, comparative reports, and participate in clinical conferences as requested. Oversee patient safety, manage contrast administration, and review imaging protocols and medications. Assist, train, supervise, and mentor radiology residents in procedures and study interpretation. Deliver education to medical staff through conferences and lecture series. Participate in quality control, peer reviews, and administrative or managerial committees. Maintain computer proficiency for advanced PACs and voice recognition systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid BLS
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
