Job Summary
Conduct thorough consultations to assess patient conditions and symptoms, then develop individualized treatment plans addressing orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and mobility dysfunctions. Administer hands-on therapies including therapeutic stimulation and massage to alleviate pain, while educating patients on safe therapeutic exercise techniques. Assist clients with adaptive equipment like wheelchairs and walkers to improve independence, and maintain accurate patient records documenting progress and plan adjustments. Advise families on at-home treatment options to support continued recovery.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Active and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in word processing and software applications relevant to patient management and documentation
- A flexible mindset and agility in adapting to the unique needs of each patient and treatment situation
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A minimum of two years of experience in the field of physical therapy, preferably in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience mentoring new graduates or interns
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
