Job Summary
Develop and implement Applied Behavior Analysis-based behavioral and instructional strategies for students with intensive behavioral needs. Coordinate and supervise programming utilizing ABA methodology; train staff on the ABA methodologies; plan and provide professional development for special education teachers and support staff; work with special education staff to improve classroom management and instructional practices in special education settings; assist in developing and implementing behavior plans; analyze student achievement data to measure effectiveness of instructional models and ABA-based approaches; attend and participate in trainings, meetings, and conferences as required; maintain confidentiality and positive working relationships while supporting district expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Masters degree in Education or related field
- Iowa teaching license with special education endorsement or Statement of Professional Recognition: social worker, school psychologist, or speech-language pathologist
- Four or more years experience working with special needs population
