Job Summary
Board Certified Behavior Strategist for Des Moines Public Schools. Develop and implement a system for training staff on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA); plan and provide professional development for special education teachers and support staff; collaborate with special education teams to enhance classroom management and instruction in special education settings; assist in developing and implementing behavior plans for students with intensive behavioral needs; model and apply ABA-based strategies to improve student outcomes; analyze student achievement data to measure effectiveness of instructional models; engage in regular meetings with special education staff and participate in district training and conferences; maintain confidentiality and uphold professional responsibilities while supporting the special education department with research-based practices.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Masters degree in Education or related field
- Iowa teaching license with special education endorsement or equivalent
- Four or more years experience with special needs population
