Job Summary
The role of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) involves training, supervising, and collaborating in applied behavior analysis for students with various disabilities. The position requires implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, providing support in a non-traditional school setting, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. This position is part-time and on-site in Pasadena, CA, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, with coursework in Child Development, Counseling or related topics within a Special Education environment
- Working toward Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and currently in a relevant Master's program or having completed a qualifying Master's Degree
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with training others in ABA, autism and/or behavior related topics
- Proficient in Behavioral Documentation and Data Collection
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development Education, or related Special Education field
- Experience working with Moderate to Severe Special Education students
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) and Standard First Aid
- Experience working with approved safe student restraint techniques
