Job Summary
Manage caseloads per position objectives by developing and implementing individual behavior plans for skill acquisition and negative behavior reduction. Conduct ongoing direct and indirect assessments of student behavior, compile data logs, and prepare graphical analyses to evaluate plan effectiveness. Provide technical support to staff on data collection methods and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school teams to modify behavior plans aligned with IEP goals. Maintain confidentiality of student information and implement crisis protocols as required. Work within a fast-paced educational environment supporting children and young adults with autism.
Required Qualifications
- Certified by Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience working with students impacted by autism or other developmentally disabling disorder
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in an educational setting
- Must be certified by Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- May include lifting and supporting up to 50 pounds
- Implement crisis protocols, which may include physical crisis management procedures
- May be required to bend, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations
- Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time
- Moderate to high stress levels
- Daily contact with students, teachers, and school staff
- Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel
- May be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior
