Job Summary
Complete 36-40 hours of classroom instruction with mandatory attendance and an 80% passing grade on all tests. Perform 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility, demonstrating required skills and maintaining daily sign-in records. Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to enrollment. If you successfully complete the program, you will receive a certificate and a scheduled state exam fee if hired and in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- pass a criminal background check
- pass a TB test
- pass a physical
- complete 36-40 hours of classroom work
- pass (with 80%) all of the tests administered during the classroom portion
- have 3 attempts to pass classroom tests
- complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility
- perform all required skills successfully during practicum
- attend all classroom sessions
- complete a clinical sign-in record daily
- include date and actual hours worked on the sign-in record
- provide signature of student on the sign-in record
- provide cosignature of licensed supervisor on the sign-in record
- have all required skills completed on checklist (RCP) booklets
