BMX Instructor I - II - Youth

Job Summary

Develop lesson plans and evaluate and assess skill level and progress of all participants in BMX programs. Supervise instruction while making proper calls on command and accepting criticism to handle participants, team managers, and coaches under difficult situations. Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, community organizations, and the public. This part-time role requires at least three years of experience in structured programming and minimum age of 16. Shifts range from morning to evening hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age or fifteen (15) years of age for the BMX Instructor position
  • Must have at least three (3) years of previous experience in assigned area of structured programming
  • Will have general knowledge of BMX including rules and regulations
  • Will have a good understanding of BMX including the principles, practice, and techniques
  • Will have the ability to make proper calls on command and the ability to accept criticism
  • Has the ability to handle participants, team managers and/or coaches under difficult situations
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, various community organizations, and the public
