Job Summary
Frontline customer service representative for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) at the Indianapolis West branch. Responsibilities include conducting customer transactions, answering questions, assisting with opening/closing the branch, ensuring transaction accuracy and proper accounting, responding to escalated customer concerns with leadership, and filing applications. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills, with on-the-job training provided; occasional travel up to 20% of the time to branch locations, training, or community activities. A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency is acceptable; no degree required. Supervisory opportunities may be utilized based on agency needs. Branch hours vary by day.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE)
- customer service experience
- ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, trainings, or community activities
- ability to articulate or demonstrate strong communication skills
- ability to process cash and card transactions
- ability to work with supervision to resolve escalated concerns
