Job Summary
Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for building automation systems to submit to project engineers. Develop BMS software databases and graphics in accordance with engineering documents, and design, integrate, and support network migration for Internet, Ethernet, BACnet, and Modbus platforms. Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages using AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, and Word, and visit the field to adjust design sequences and complete functional checkout and commissioning activities. Generate repair recommendations and reports for customers while developing custom energy reporting and billing programs. Conduct self-study to stay current on industry trends and mentor younger colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics
- Strong interest in building automation and controls
- Minimum 4 years experience in the HVAC/controls industry
Desired Qualifications
- DDC controller programming
- third party device integration with BACnet and modbus
- Experience with mechanical system operation
- Basic understanding of the construction process
- Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills
- Competency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Automated Logic WebCTRL experience
