Job Summary
BMS Operator supports the Maintenance Engineer in monitoring Building Management Systems across multiple locations, analyzing system performance, alarms, and trends, and coordinating with technicians for troubleshooting and maintenance. The role involves calibrating and fine-tuning control systems, updating operator interface graphics, documenting changes and set-point adjustments in the BMS, and assisting in the installation and integration of new equipment and instrumentation. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS programming, DDC, and instrumentation, plus ability to read blueprints and control diagrams, are required. ITI/Diploma/Graduation in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Instrumentation with at least 2 years in BMS or related fields is preferred, along with professional certifications in BMS, HVAC, or Industrial Automation.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Graduation in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation or related field
- Certification in BMS, HVAC systems, or Industrial Automation (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Building Management Systems, HVAC automation controls, energy management systems, or related fields
- Ability to read blueprints, control drawings, and logic diagrams
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS programming, and communication networks
- Understanding of psychrometric charts and HVAC fundamentals
- Ability to install relays and perform basic wiring tasks
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as temperature, humidity, voltage, and current meters
- Knowledge of commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and environmental control systems
- Understanding of electronics, DDC systems, pneumatic controls, airflow, hydraulics, and refrigeration principles
