Job Summary
Provide field programming, development, and engineering support for PLC, SCADA, or BAS platforms while debugging, testing, and verifying control systems software to meet project requirements. Configure software and hardware integrations, including gateways and communication interfaces, then identify and resolve faults using diagnostic tools. Calibrate instruments, support on-site commissioning, and train end users on software operation. Document project work thoroughly and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure full system integration while maintaining safety compliance. Recommend system improvements and stay current with industry trends to suggest relevant upgrades. This role requires 5 to 7 years of experience and up to 75% regional travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of experience in PLC, SCADA, or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Proficiency in BACnet and at least one major control systems platform
- Candidates must be open to traveling up to 75% regionally
- In-depth knowledge of control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI)
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Ladder Logic, Python)
- Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus and OPC
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in systems engineering or technical lead roles preferred
- Familiarity with industry programming languages and networking protocols
- Certifications in control systems software are a plus
