BMS Engineer

Job Summary
Write and implement alarm strategies aligned with Switch2's logic while monitoring the BMS portfolio from the office. Review control strategies to identify optimization and decarbonisation opportunities, and conduct router installs to maintain internet connectivity across the portfolio. Support internal teams by interpreting and troubleshooting metering data issues, working across Product Support, Client Accounts, and Commercial Engineering departments. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency using a remote-first approach, with travel to Shipley, Bradford required when remote solutions are unavailable. This role integrates BMS with the existing Energy Management System to enhance plant room optimisation and maintenance programmes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience with a range of BMS system providers, including Trend, Tridium, Schneider and Priva
- Understanding of plant room operations to identify critical dependencies and single point of failure
- Hands-on experience integrating systems into BMS platforms, particularly Trend
- Must be able to travel across the UK where a remote solution is not available
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in heat network industry
- Excel skills
- Knowledge of firmware upgrades, data validation techniques and IoT networking
