Job Summary
Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS/controls systems for building management, coordinating with project teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. Travel ~40-50% annually to support US projects. Responsibilities include service and startup of building control systems, installing components, low voltage wiring, coordinating with subcontractors, performing point-to-point checkout, software/hardware calibration, and project commissioning; read schematics, CAD drawings, and understand open protocols (BACnet, Modbus). Must have PLC/SCADA Ignition experience (Umatilla) or data center experience with Tridium Niagara/Distech (Ashburn), with relocation offered. Strong basics in Microsoft Office; physical ability to access job sites; valid state driver’s license; ability to pass security screening; willingness to travel. The role offers a salary range of $140,000–$180,000 with up to 10% annual bonus and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Relocation to Umatilla, OR or Ashburn, VA is required (relocation assistance provided).
- PLC/SCADA Ignition experience (Umatilla)
- Data Center experience; Tridium Niagara/Distech; wire sheet programming and logic (Ashburn).
- Ability to install, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS/controls systems.
- Travel approximately 40-50% throughout the year to support projects and customers around the US.
- Service of existing building control systems; startup of complete building control systems; install building control components; low voltage control panel building.
- Coordinate work with installation subcontractors; ensure projects are completed on time; comply with code and contract requirements.
- Point-to-point checkout; software/hardware calibration; low voltage cable installation/termination; project commissioning activities.
- Must read schematics; familiarity with CAD; open protocols (BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU); RS-232/RS-485; CAT5/6; basic networking; device access on a network.
- Knowledge of BMS software; familiarity with Tridium (preferred).
- Must possess valid state motor vehicle license; safe driving record; ability to pass security screening.
- Out-of-state travel may be required (50%+ if not located in listed cities).
- Electrical infrastructure knowledge (120/240/480V) for controls; data center applications; indoor/outdoor considerations.
