Job Summary
Install, program, commission, and troubleshoot BMS/controls systems; own system performance and coordinate with project teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions; travel to project sites to support customers; perform startup and commissioning activities, including point-to-point checkout, software/hardware calibration, and low-voltage wiring; collaborate with installation subcontractors to ensure timely completion while adhering to codes and contract requirements; review documentation and participate in daily meetings; familiarity with open protocols (BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU); experience with Tridium/Distech is a plus; ability to read schematics and CAD drawings; capable of navigating a data-center/industrial environment and working safely around high voltage; willing to relocate to Umatilla, OR or Ashburn, VA with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to relocate permanently to one of the listed locations (Umatilla, OR or Ashburn, VA).
- PLC/SCADA Ignition experience required (Umatilla).
- Data Center experience and Tridium Niagara/Distech; wire sheet programming and logic (Ashburn).
- Ability to travel approximately 40-50% throughout the year to support projects and customers around the US.
- Experience with BMS software; Tridium preferred and understands wire sheet programming and logic (Ashburn).
- Read schematics (network topologies, electrical one-lines, device wiring drawings, control drawings).
- Familiarity with CAD, construction drawings.
- Knowledge of terminating wire to terminal blocks including RS-232, RS-485 and CAT5/6.
- Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Understand code requirements for indoor/outdoor electrical infrastructure; handle higher voltage (120/240/480V) for controls.
- Possess valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
- Able to pass State and Federal security screening.
- Out-of-state travel may be required (50%+ if not located in listed cities).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
