Job Summary
BMET III position focusing on assembly, maintenance, and repair of basic and advanced electronic medical devices, including life-support and high-risk diagnostic equipment. The role requires independent repair/calibration, meticulous documentation, coordination with vendors, and potential supervisory responsibilities when the manager is unavailable. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical knowledge of electromechanical devices, ability to mentor technicians, participate in recalls and safety alerts, and contribute to facility maintenance and performance goals. They should have experience with schematics and healthcare equipment, provide training to staff, and maintain compliant, safe work practices. The role involves on-call rotation and collaboration with management on professional growth. Key competencies include accountability, communication, financial acumen, integrity, customer service, priority setting, knowledge of life-support devices, team building, supervision, and regulatory awareness (TJC, DNV, CAP, DOH).
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical Certificate or DOD training required
- College Degree, Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this job description preferred
