Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing work. Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping, and handle interior/exterior landscaping repairs. Display knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry. Complete daily activity reports, input air handler schedules, and adhere to safety policies while maintaining professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance
- Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to enter and locate work-related information using computers
- Must be able to use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
