Job Summary
Fabricate details and assemblies by hand or machine to support production, A.O.G. or critical spares; develop fixtures/tools when prints are unavailable; read blueprints and apply advanced shop math and GD&T; collaborate with Engineering to redesign parts; operate drill presses, saws, mills, and other machinery; create templates and tools from obsolete drawings; use CATIA for part configuration and layout; perform riveting, bonding, and sealing; manage material quantities per work orders; ensure tolerances and quality; handle hazardous materials and maintain certifications; typical shift is 2nd with potential for additional shifts; on-site at Auburn/Algona/Puyallup locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of experience with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- 1+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- 1+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools.
- 1+ years of experience removing, reworking and installing skin panels, bulkheads, frames, stringers, ribs, floor beams, and other structural members.
- 1+ years working flight line, ADG, or final assembly.
- 1+ years of experience with fabrication of airplane parts or temporary tooling.
