Job Summary
Review carry-over quantities, scheduled production, and raw material availability before starting shifts. Safely operate multiple blow molding machines to maintain continuous operation per work orders while ensuring bottle quality, color, weight, and QA specifications are met. Verify leak detectors, perform minor mechanical repairs, complete preventive maintenance, and adjust machine processes. Maintain adequate dye and resin supplies, report production delays or risks, and train junior operators. Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures while accurately completing quality documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 year of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, maintenance, quality, or related environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety rules, production schedules, labels, specifications, or technical documents
- Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work assigned shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, climb, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, parts, controls, materials, or equipment
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, face shields, respirators, or protective clothing
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or around moving machinery, if applicable
- Pre-employment background check, including a criminal record check and drug testing
