Job Summary
Conduct daily research activities including data aggregation, financial modeling, and written analysis for asset managers, brokers, and exchanges. Monitor company developments to identify macro themes, synthesize data into concise narratives, and review submissions for quality standards. Manage relationships with internal departments and external professionals while interacting with clients via online messaging. Assist in developing terminal content and integrate new technologies like generative AI to enhance research products. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, two years of market research experience, and advanced Excel skills. Salary range $100,000 - $120,000 USD annual.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus or concentration in Finance or related degree
- At least two years of financial market research or industry specific subject matter experience, with demonstrable research and analytical skills
- Proficient industry knowledge of the Financials sector
- A deep understanding of advanced concepts, practices and procedures of finance/accounting
- Solid experience performing quantitative financial analysis, with knowledge of companies, industries, financial statement analysis & modeling
- The ability to spot anomalies in financial data, think critically about what the data is telling you and identify when something doesn't align or make sense
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of curiosity and attention to detail
- Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects; an ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- A commitment to enhancing and developing products
- Ability and willingness to integrate new technologies, including generative AI, to create an increasingly sophisticated research product with data-driven analysis
Desired Qualifications
- CFA designation and/or MBA degree, and/or graduate educational experience
- Experience using Python and/or visualization tools (i.e Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense)
