Job Summary
Blood Services Implementation Specialist Level 1 provides on-site and in-house application support, troubleshooting, and training for SoftBank, SoftDonor, and/or SoftID.Tx implementations. Supports project activities with the Project Manager and other leaders, delivers system file builds and training for hospital blood banks, donor centers, and nursing staff, guides clients in utilizing system functionality, and participates in knowledge-sharing with Blood Services team members. Requires travel up to 75% to client sites in the Clearwater, FL area and beyond; role emphasizes coordination, post-live audits, and delivering effective client-oriented solutions within defined timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in a healthcare-related field
- A bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology with a specific course in Transfusion and/or Donor Services is highly desirable
- Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
- A broad understanding of blood bank, donor, and/or transfusion administration protocol is essential
- 3-5 years of previous experience in a blood bank, donor laboratory, or clinical setting preferred
- Previous experience in the usage, file building and troubleshooting of laboratory information systems (LIS) is highly desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of NATA/TGA regulatory requirements
- Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal, teaching, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to perform effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work effectively under stress
- Travel required: Extensive, up to 75%
