Job Summary
Receive, process, pack, and ship blood products and samples for hospital orders, triaging requests by date and time. Select and pack life-saving blood products with correct temperature-regulating materials to ensure safe transport. Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors while maintaining product records to preserve traceability. Ensure products are suitable for release, perform inventory management, and prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements. Analyze visual inspection data to meet time and quality standards, identifying and quarantining products that do not meet quality requirements. Perform data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping while maintaining accurate physical and electronic records. Make hospital deliveries as assigned. Work the third shift from Sunday to Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand, stretch, stooping and bending for extended time periods
- Ability to lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time
- Ability to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.
