Job Summary
Perform exacting laboratory measurements on whole blood supernatants and other fluids while conducting preventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on various lab equipment. Identify, correct, and document problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting. Acquire specialized knowledge of Respiratory Therapy modalities and cardiopulmonary physiology to assess the compatibility of laboratory data to the patient's condition. Compiles daily statistics as directed and communicates with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other clinical personnel to achieve optimal patient care. Requires a Bachelor's degree or two years of college training in a health-related science and laboratory experience. Full-time evening shift.
