Job Summary
Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance, while driving for results and serving others with high-level respect. Personally connect with donors by listening to their stories and helping them understand the value of their donation. Contribute to a friendly environment by teaming with co-workers to keep donors returning for future drives. Lead mobile blood drive teams that setup and tear down equipment at businesses, schools, and other community locations. Work a variable schedule in Portland, Oregon, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel. Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift heavy weights and operate vehicles safely.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience (four to eight years of work experience in a related field)
- Minimum of three years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- An ability to effectively discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families and physicians
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- The ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- A minimum height of 60 inches
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work overnight travel in some locations
- Ability to work a variable schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience exceeding 3 years in a healthcare setting
