Job Summary
Supervise blood collection staff through training and performance management while driving results with high respect for donors and team members. Personally connect with donors by listening to their stories and explaining donation value to ensure a positive experience. Contribute to a friendly environment by collaborating with co-workers to retain donors for future visits. Set up and tear down equipment for mobile blood drives at businesses, schools, and other community locations. Work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays in Cheektowaga, New York.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience (four to eight years of work experience in a related field)
- Minimum of three years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- An ability to effectively discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families and physicians
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- The ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- A minimum height of 60 inches
- Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience exceeding 3 years in a healthcare setting
