Job Summary
Blood Collection Staff – customer service role at the American Red Cross delivering donor-centered support at mobile and site-based blood drives. Responsibilities include connecting with donors, collaborating with teammates to transport and set up equipment, creating a welcoming environment, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in the blood collection process. The role includes potential vehicle operation, setup/teardown of equipment, and a variable schedule (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays) with possible overnight travel. Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow healthcare skills within the organization. Starting pay is $22/hour. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, strong verbal communication, and a valid driver's license; ability to lift/pull heavy weights and adapt to long or irregular hours. Microsoft Office proficiency and basic computer skills are expected.
