Job Summary
Connect with donors personally to explain the impact of their donation and ensure they feel comfortable returning. Collaborate with teammates to transport, setup, and teardown equipment at mobile blood drive sites in local communities. Collect lifesaving blood donations while strictly following safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Drive Red Cross vehicles to reach businesses, schools, and other locations, requiring a minimum height of 60 inches for safe operation. Maintain a detailed orientation throughout the day to ensure all collected blood meets goals and can be safely transfused. Work a variable full-time schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Current, valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
- Minimum height of 60 inches
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
- Ability to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work two consecutive days off
Desired Qualifications
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience
- Prior leadership experience
